Sprint formally announced the feature called Wi-Fi to smartphones

After leaked in the past through employee documentation, Sprint has formally announced the launch of Wi-Fi calling capabilities on Android smartphone selected in his line, with more phones to be added in the future. Sprint is pitching its implementation of Wi-Fi calling capabilities as a way to shore up internal cover in homes and businesses, which historically has been a key complaint against Sprint service over the years.

Adding Sprint Wi-Fi call integrates the Airave base station is available for customers with indoor coverage issues, but the carrier has returned to restrict sales of those units to customers in specific sectors after years of offering them in stores.



Implementing call Sprint Wi-Fi unlimited voice and Messaging allows any open Wi-Fi network in the United States, although unlike the implementation of T-Mobile, will not be free when used internationally, with voice calls in Office at their current international price. The carrier will be pushing an update to the Mega Galaxy and Galaxy Mini S4 over the coming weeks that includes its own brand Wi-Fi calling app.
